The Awesome Landscape of Internet Bingo! Bingo in New Mexico
Nov 062015

A lot has been written in the papers not long ago concerning the bingo industry being hit because of the anti smoking law in the UK. Things have become so bad that in Scotland the Bingo industry has called for big tax cuts to help keep the businesses from going bankrupt. However can the net version of this classic game present a lifeline, or will it never compare to its land based opposite?

Bingo has been an established game historically played by the "blue rinse" generation. Although the game recently had experienced a recent increase in popularity with younger members of society deciding to go to the bingo parlors in place of the clubs on a weekend. All this is about to change with the enforcement of the anti smoking law around United Kingdom.

No longer will gamblers be permitted to smoke whilst marking off their numbers. Beginning in the summer of 2007 every public location will no longer be allowed to permit smoking in their locations and this includes Bingo parlors, which are possibly the most popular areas where many people like to smoke.

The outcome of the smoking ban can already be seen in Scotland where cigarettes are already illegal in the bingo halls. Players have plummeted and the business is absolutely struggling for to stay alive. But where have all the players gone? Of course they have not deserted this familiar game?

The answer is online. Gamblers know that they can participate in bingo in front of their computer whilst enjoying a beverage and cig and still have a chance at big jackpots. This is a recent anomaly and has happened bordering on perfect with the ban on cigarettes.

Of course playing online is unlikely to replace the social part of heading down to the bingo parlor, but for a group of players the governing edicts have left a good many bingo enthusiasts with little option.
