Could the Anti Cigarette Law in Britain Take Bingo Enthusiasts On to the Net? Bingo in Oklahoma
Sep 202022

Oklahoma has long been interrelated with Bingo. That’s owing to the fact that the American Indian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo games for years. Clients from many of the nearby states pile in trucks and head over to Oklahoma to wager on Bingo over the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a precedent setting decree by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. From that instance, 23 of the 39 Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have established gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Indian band to take advantage of the gaming restrictions, and at this time control 10 casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which these casinos were built on. Electronic games like slots weren’t authorized, owing to the fact that they are believed to contribute to gambling dependency at a higher rate than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma rules have changed to allow for big Native wagering gambling halls. You will now see Native gambling dens with slots, video poker and black jack tables. Craps and roulette are not yet allowed in the Native gambling halls yet, however that is only a waiting game. No one can determine what having different gambling den games in the bingo parlors will do for the draw of bingo.
