The Wonderful Landscape of Net Bingo! Dangers of Stress While Competing in Bingo
Mar 022025

An abundance has been written in the press just a while ago about the bingo industry being hit as a result of the cigarette ban in Britain. Things have grown so awful that in Scotland the Bingo industry has called for huge tax breaks to assist in keeping the industry afloat. However will the web version of this classic game offer a lifeline, or might it never compare to its real life opposite?

Bingo has been an established game normally enjoyed by the "blue haired" generation. However the game recently had undergone a recent return in appeal with younger members of society deciding to visit the bingo parlors instead of the discos on a Friday night. This is all about to get flipped on its head with the enforcement of the anti cigarette law around Britain.

No longer will enthusiasts be permitted to smoke while marking numbers. Starting in the summer of 2007 all public locations will not be allowed to permit smoking in their buildings and this includes Bingo halls, which are possibly the most common areas where folks like to smoke.

The outcome of the anti smoking law can already be seen in Scotland where smoking is already illegal in the bingo parlours. Profits have plunged and the business is beyond a doubt struggling for to stay alive. But where did the players go? Surely they haven’t cast aside this familiar game?

The answer is on the internet. People know that they can wager on bingo in front of their computer whilst enjoying a beverage and cig and in the end, enjoy big jackpots. This is a recent anomaly and has timed itself bordering on perfect with the anti cigarette law.

Of course playing on the web is unlikely to replace the social aspect of heading down to the bingo parlor, but for a demographic of people the law has left many bingo enthusiasts with no option.
